NutriSystem – Food is not good and they ripped me off
I ordered the food from the NutriSystem diet plan and thought that I would give it a try. I figured that if it was good enough for Dan Marino it was good enough for me. I got the first shipment and found out that some of the food was good and some of it was really bad. After the first shipment, I was done.
So I gave it a go and was not happy and I cancelled my order before the next shipment was due to be sent. They sent it to me anyway and charged my credit card. Then I sent the food back, unopened and at my own expense. Customer service found my order and confirmed that I had returned the food. They then told me that I could not get a full refund because they were going to charge me the shipping cost. Now I am out what it cost me to ship it back and what they paid to ship it to me, all because of their mistake. I am not happy with how they dealt with this.
I could say that maybe the system would work if you could tolerate the food, but I couldn’t. Also, they way I was treated would make me never recommend them to anyone.

I have tried NutriSystem in the past and it worked while I ate their meals. Yes, they were pretty gross but they did work. The problem that I had was as soon as I was not eating their meals I was back to gaining weight. The meals do not teach you about calories of how to make meals for your self or order out.
Overall this was a big waste of money for me. Eventually I joined weight watchers where I learned about calories and it was a much better fit. I ended up losing over 60lbs and 5 years later I have kept it off. I don’t go to weight watcher meetings anymore but they did teach me about calories. This for me was much better than a temporary fix with NutriSystem.
I wasn’t happy with the food either. I tried to quit and they just kept send me stuff and charging my account. No matter what I tried, it was almost impossible to get out of. It was a crappy situation and I wish I would have never started nutrisystem in the first place.
