ScoreSense.com – Will take your money if you are not careful

I signed up to get a credit report form ScoreSense.com and I was happy for the most part. I guess I did not read all the fine print, but they apparently sign you up for some credit monitoring service and charge you a monthly fee after they give you the initial credit report. I am not sure if this is a scam, but it does seem like it is a little dishonest. I did not notice it right away and they charged me a couple of times. When I finally did notice, I was angry and called them to see what I can do about getting my money back. They said that there was nothing the could do about the the money because by getting the credit report I was accepting the sign up. I would like to just warn people out there so the same thing does not happen to them.

Yes, I have had a similar experience. I solved it through the dispute form on BillGuard: https://www.billguard.com/search/Otl-Scoresense.com-a1bfunp/

I was looking at a house to lease and the ad popped up that the credit report had to be run. So I opted for the $1.00 one time fee. Now three months later, scoresense is still charging me $29.95 per month. When you call their contact number, they will not answer on the lines 4 and 5 for disputes about the bill. Don’t get suckered into this scam!
Avoid, avoid, avoid their $1.00 deal
