Rio Las Vegas – Room service issue

I was out in Las Vegas and staying at the Rio during the world series of poker. I was just hanging out in my room and relaxing before I went out and decided to order a salad from room service. Everything was fine until I started to eat the salad.

While I was chewing, I noticed that something was in there that should not have been. I spit it out and it was a latex glove. Obviously I was completely grossed out because it was in my mouth. I called back down to room service and they promptly sent someone up to take the dish away and told me that a manager would call me back later to talk about the incident. I never heard from anyone for the next few days.

I went to check out later and told the front desk about the incident and they took the charge off my room, but I felt that for something like that, I shouldn’t have to bring it up to them again. In a place like that, I just felt like they needed to step their game up in terms of customer service. There is a lot of competition for your business out there and I just did not think that the took the issue seriously enough.

    I had a terrible experience with the Las Vegas RIO service too. I had a huge bug in my salad. My wife almost puked, it was a deal breaker for us.
