We recently ordered a laptop from Bluehippo.com and it arrived a couple of weeks later. When we opened the package, it was not the computer that we ordered. When we called the customer service line and said that we would send the computer back if they just refunded the money that they took from us. They said that there were no refunds.
Classmates.com which has turned into memory lane is a scam. Once they have your credit card you are stuck.
I recently purchased Mcafee anti-virus and was told that I need to call a 800 in order to activate my service. When I called the number I was connected to someone that works for Iyogi. I was pressured into letting the person on the other end on the line to take control of my computer to search for malware. This was because Mcafee would not install properly if I had any malicious programs on there.
I have seen adds on television for mycleanpc.com and thought that with my recent computer problems that they could help me. When I called in, I was told that I could potentially have a virus and that someone could be hacking my computer.
So here is the problem. I have been using Netflix for a while now and love the delivery service, but I am starting to have trouble with the streaming portion of the subscription. I have found that more often than not, I will be watching a streaming video and halfway through the movie it will just stop and quit on me. I have contacted my ISP and they have told me that they have heard similar complaints from other Netflix users. I was told that the problem was not on the ISP end of the equation.
