Cellfunz.com/True Diget LLC – charged me for downloading their app 5 times

Never heard of them, no idea what app’s they offer. I never buy app’s on my phone, I pick free apps. But when I get my phone bill there is $65. in charges from Cellfunz. com /true digit llc. They charged me for downloading their app 5 times. Come’on, 4 charges at $9.99 and 1 for $14.99 I would have never ever spent that on a application. Its ridiculous. What’s scary is these charges can just appear on my bill and I have to fight for a refund and explain I never downloaded them. This company needs to be stopped and shut down. And have charges pressed against them!!!

The same thing is happening to me, and I don’t know how to make it stop! T-mobile says I have to change my number and there is nothing else they can do for me!! I neversigned up for anything, and yet I’m getting charged 20 bucks every month for this garbage! Help!

You can call T-Mobile to turn off Premium Services. Then the ONLY time you would be able to purchase these type of services if is you actually gave them a credit card number.

The free downoalds have pop ups that activate the cellfunz billing. one fat thumb and you got billed. If you block all premium texts they cannot gain access anymore.

I had the same thing occur. Only figured out today that for the past 7 months two companies Cellfunz and True Digit, LLC have been extorting my account. I say extortion because by not responding or deleting their unsolicited text messages, I apparently was authorizing their use. My provider was helpful in helping recoup my losses but when I contact Cellfunz that person made it perfectly clear they would not be refunding anything. AT&T customer service agents felt my pain and did what they could to assist. I think the FCC and Congress should work together to shut these extortionists down.

I asked t-mobile to block these things when I got the phone and still my first bill 3 days into service two charges on the same day for 9.99 a piece.. I didn’t authorize and before I even got my phone I requested that these services could not be automatically added or charged since I have had scam companies try to do this before and didn’t want to get stuck with the bill… I am going to call t-mobile now and see what they say.. I paid the bill now lets see if they will credit it back on this months bill.. Will let you know..
