FreeCreditReport.com – Not free
All I needed from them was a credit report for an apartment that I was going to rent. I told them that I just wanted the report and was not interested in signing up for their service. They charged me anyway.
Getting the report is free when you sign up for their credit monitoring service, but you are supposed to be able to cancel before they start it up and just be on your way with the credit report. At least that is what I was led to believe. Rubbish.
