DirectBuy.com – You will not save a red cent

My wife and I joined DirectBuy and were told that we would be able to get a ton of savings on just about everything. We were about to do some major remodeling in our house and thought that this would be a good way to save a couple of bucks. We were wrong about that. We signed up and went to make our first purchase. It was for a washer and dryer set and it came out that with shipping, we could have just went to any store in the area and got it for the same price. Next we wanted to get a new central air installed. The quote was higher than all the other quotes that we got, so no savings there. We feel like DirectBuy scammed us and we want to get our membership fee back, but of course there is a contract and that won’t be happening.
